Bernard is currently a Partner and Service/Finance manager at TCA Coffs Harbour (Technology Centres Australia). He is also Vice President of Coffs Caring Community Incorporated, and Head Instructor and Principal at Combined Self Defence and Fitness. Bernard brings a wealth of qualifications and experience to the R&R Board. He holds a Diploma in Advanced Management, Certificate IV in IT, is a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors, a Senior Copier/Printer Engineer, is a NSW Accredited Martial Arts Instructor and a Qualified Fitter/Locksmith.
He is a recent member of the Board, appointed in 2012 and on a personal level is looking to improve his personal business experience as well as give back wherever he can to the local community.
Bernard has been personally involved with the community for about five years in his role as Vice President at Coffs Caring Community Inc. He has been fortunate to be involved with some great initiatives and programs that needed urgent funding but were unable to receive through normal Government channels. When the opportunity came about to join the Board R&R, he was looking to improve his personal business experience as well as give back to the Coffs Harbour community. He says the best part of being part of R&R is the opportunity to help the real workers out there, the mums, dads and family members who dedicate their lives to the support and care for our clients with disabilities.
I’m emailing today to tell you how great my support worker is; not only is he very patient, helpful and quick-thinking, but he’s also the most friendly worker I’ve had to date. Whenever I’m not feeling my best, he seems to see that and not push me to do things that I’d otherwise be willing to do, however when I am feeling able to do things, he encourages me to do it myself, he teaches me how to do it if I’m not understanding, or congratulates me when I do it by myself.
Just wanted to thank you for the amazing support staff you have put into our home to help with our daughter . One outstanding support worker supported her in such a professional manner , and was not afraid to help in any way she could .
“R&R gave me my first real opportunity to work in a new industry following my career change. I value the opportunity that you extended, the way in which everyone at R&R including Admin, Coordinators and fellow Support Workers welcomed the new greenhorn and the valuable experience gained. ”
“Wonderful organisation doing some great programs and initiatives.”
“Great place to work with awesome staff and clients keep up the good work”
“I am very grateful and blessed that I have been part of a wonderful service during my time at R&R Disability Services.”
