If you haven’t heard of Georgia Knoll yet let us introduce you.
We promise you’ll be smiling ear to ear after hearing her feel good story.
Georgia who has Down Syndrome has always dreamt of serving as a flight attendant. The 25 year old from Mackay even took creating a video of herself performing the pre flight safety instructions. Posted up by her sister Kathryn the video soon went viral.
Kathryn then decided it would be fun to tag some companies hoping one of them would notice. Well one sure did! Jetstar got in contact with the family inviting Georgia to become part of the Jetstar team for a day.
Mum Deborah accompanied Georgia who joined the Jetstar team on a flight from Brisbane to Mackay.
Proudly wearing her very own Jetstar uniform Georgia assisted with the safety demonstration, serving meals and welcoming customers with her megawatt smile that lights up the world.
“It’s good to be Down syndrome,” Knoll added. “It’s who I am.”
“I’m just trying to break through barriers, to push everything aside, just be yourself,” she continued.
“My passion about being a flight attendant is making people happy”
Jetstar flight attendant Nicky said it was a joy to have Knoll around for the day.
Georgia’s belief in herself and determination to reach her goals is an inspiration to us all.
No doubt in the very near future we will be seeing more of Georgia flying the skies and making people happy.
Georgia has Down Syndrome and has always dreamed of being a member of a cabin crew. When our crew heard about Georgia’s wish via a video posted to our Facebook page, they wanted to make it come true.Watch what happened next…

Just wanted to thank you for the amazing support staff you have put into our home to help with our daughter . One outstanding support worker supported her in such a professional manner , and was not afraid to help in any way she could .
I’m emailing today to tell you how great my support worker is; not only is he very patient, helpful and quick-thinking, but he’s also the most friendly worker I’ve had to date. Whenever I’m not feeling my best, he seems to see that and not push me to do things that I’d otherwise be willing to do, however when I am feeling able to do things, he encourages me to do it myself, he teaches me how to do it if I’m not understanding, or congratulates me when I do it by myself.
“R&R gave me my first real opportunity to work in a new industry following my career change. I value the opportunity that you extended, the way in which everyone at R&R including Admin, Coordinators and fellow Support Workers welcomed the new greenhorn and the valuable experience gained. ”
“Wonderful organisation doing some great programs and initiatives.”
“Great place to work with awesome staff and clients keep up the good work”
“I am very grateful and blessed that I have been part of a wonderful service during my time at R&R Disability Services.”
